Who the GRP2600 range is for

These are the phones for the bulk of your seats: the accounts team, the warehouse office, the second desk in every branch. Each one gives you two or three lines, a backlit monochrome display, 5-way audio conferencing and a headset jack that works with Plantronics, Jabra and Sennheiser electronic hook switches. The menus include Arabic, which matters when the phone goes on a desk rather than in an IT room.

What separates them from the GRP2610 series is the screen and the key count. GRP2610 models have color displays, more line keys and, on most models, Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth. If a desk just makes and takes calls, the GRP2600 does the job for less.

The letter at the end tells you how it connects: P for PoE, W for Wi-Fi, G for Gigabit with PoE.

Grandstream GRP2601P

2-line essential IP phone with PoE

The GRP2601P is the cheapest way to put a proper SIP phone on a cabled desk. It runs two lines on two SIP accounts and takes its power from the switch over 802.3af PoE, drawing 3.84 W.

There's no power adapter in the box, so use it where the switch gives PoE.

Grandstream GRP2601W

2-line essential IP phone with Wi-Fi

The GRP2601W swaps PoE for Wi-Fi. It connects on 2.4 GHz single-band Wi-Fi 6 (802.11b/g/n/ax), so you can put a phone on a desk that was never cabled: a site office, a reception pod added after fit-out, a mezzanine.

It has no PoE, so it runs from the included 5 V adapter. The trade-off is that it only uses the 2.4 GHz band. If that band is crowded on your site, look at the dual-band GRP2602W instead.

Grandstream GRP2602P

2-line essential IP phone with PoE

If you only stock one Grandstream desk phone, make it the GRP2602P. It's the one we'd put on most general desks. You get two line keys with dual-color LEDs, four SIP accounts behind them, an HD handset and speakerphone, and PoE so a single cable handles power and data.

Four accounts on two keys is the detail that decides it over the GRP2601P. A receptionist can hold the main number, a direct line and a department queue on one basic phone. The faceplate is swappable, so you can put the company logo on it, and the menus run in Arabic or English.

It ships without a power adapter, so budget a PoE switch port for every GRP2602P.

Grandstream GRP2602W

2-line essential IP phone with dual-band Wi-Fi

The GRP2602W is the GRP2602 for desks without a network cable. It connects on dual-band Wi-Fi 6 across 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz, which gives it more room than the 2.4 GHz-only GRP2601W on a busy wireless network.

There's no PoE on this variant, so it runs from its adapter. One thing to check at quotation: dual-band Wi-Fi 6 applies from hardware version 5.0, so we confirm the hardware version on the quote.

Grandstream GRP2602G

2-line essential IP phone with Gigabit and PoE

The GRP2602G has the same keys and accounts as the GRP2602P. The difference is the network side. Its two ports run at 10/100/1000 Mbps instead of 10/100, and it still takes PoE.

That matters when the PC plugs in through the phone. With a GRP2602P, the computer behind it drops to 100 Mbps. With the GRP2602G it keeps full Gigabit, so it's the right pick for single-cable desks in design, finance or anywhere large files move.

Grandstream GRP2603P

3-line essential IP phone with Gigabit and PoE

The GRP2603P steps up to three line keys and six SIP accounts, with a taller 2.7-inch display and a dedicated HOLD key. It has Gigabit ports and PoE as standard, so there's no G variant to choose between.

Give it to supervisors who juggle a few lines but don't need busy-lamp keys.

Grandstream GRP2604P

3-line essential IP phone with 10 BLF keys

The GRP2604P is the GRP2603P with a column of 10 BLF keys added beside the keypad. Each key can watch a colleague's extension, so you see who's on a call before you transfer to them. Paper labels for the keys come in the box.

For a larger front desk, the GRP2636 or a GRP2615 with a GBX20 gives you far more keys.

Choosing

Choosing between PoE, Wi-Fi and Gigabit

Look at the cable at the desk before you look at the phone. If there's a network point and a PoE switch behind it, the P models are the obvious answer. One cable, no adapter, nothing to trip over. Grandstream doesn't put an adapter in the P boxes, so a P phone on a non-PoE switch won't power up without buying one separately.

If there's no cable, go W. The GRP2601W only talks on 2.4 GHz. The GRP2602W uses both 2.4 and 5 GHz, and that's worth paying for in a building where the 2.4 GHz band is already full of other devices. Neither W model takes PoE.

The G question only comes up when a PC plugs in through the phone. The GRP2601 and GRP2602P/W ports are 10/100, which caps that PC at 100 Mbps. The GRP2602G, GRP2603P and GRP2604P have Gigabit ports, so the computer keeps full speed.

Most general desks are fine on a GRP2602P.

Supply in Oman

Deployment notes for Oman

Every GRP2600 model is a standard SIP phone. It registers to a Grandstream UCM6300 connected to an Omantel or Ooredoo SIP trunk, or to a hosted PBX. For larger rollouts, Grandstream's GDMS cloud service lets your integrator provision phones in bulk instead of one at a time.

The P and G models draw 3.84 W each on 802.3af, so a standard PoE switch covers a full floor of them. Wall mounting needs the optional bracket. Warranty and RMA are handled through Elite Infotech, and we supply from our Muscat, Ruwi, Sohar and Salalah branches with delivery across Oman. Installation and configuration go through our integrator and reseller network.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Does the GRP2602W need a PoE switch?

No. The GRP2602W has no PoE and runs from the 5 V adapter in the box. It connects to the network over dual-band Wi-Fi 6, so the desk doesn't need a cable at all.

Do GRP2600 phones come with a power adapter?

The W models and the GRP2602G include one. The GRP2601P, GRP2602P, GRP2603P and GRP2604P don't, because they're meant to run from a PoE switch.

What is the difference between the GRP2602P and GRP2602G?

Same keys, same four SIP accounts, same screen. The GRP2602G has Gigabit network ports where the GRP2602P has 10/100, which matters if a computer connects through the phone.

Can GRP2600 phones display Arabic?

Yes. Arabic is one of the menu languages listed on the datasheet for every model in this series.

How many SIP accounts does the GRP2602P support?

Four SIP accounts on two line keys. The GRP2601 models support two, and the GRP2603P and GRP2604P support six.
