SSDs
NM790 is Lexar's flagship consumer NVMe — PCIe Gen4, up to 7,400MB/s sequential read, available to 4TB. Performance sits alongside drives that cost noticeably more.
NM620 is Gen3 NVMe for machines that cannot take advantage of Gen4 anyway, which covers most laptops more than about four years old.
NQ100 and NS100 are 2.5-inch SATA drives for systems with no M.2 slot. Still the cheapest meaningful speed upgrade available to an ageing office PC.
Camera media
Professional CFexpress Type B — the Gold and Diamond series, for cinema cameras and stills bodies shooting RAW bursts. This is where Lexar is genuinely strongest.
Professional SDXC UHS-II Gold and 1066x microSDXC cover professional and prosumer bodies, drones and gimbals.
Lexar or SanDisk
We stock both, so here is a straight answer rather than a steer.
For microSD and general-purpose USB, SanDisk has the broader range, the stronger warranty network, and the recognition. For CFexpress and professional SD media, Lexar is genuinely competitive and often cheaper at the same performance rating. For NVMe SSDs the NM790 is strong value against comparable Gen4 drives.
One practical point: if you already own Lexar cards, staying with one brand across a shoot is worth something on its own. Mixed media in a multi-camera setup causes more problems than the saving justifies.
Availability and warranty
Lexar stock is held at Muscat, with fast-moving lines distributed to Ruwi, Salalah and Sohar. Professional camera media is available to order where not in branch, typically within a few working days.
Everything carries the manufacturer warranty, supported regionally rather than requiring return abroad.
