“Video wall” covers two different technologies, and the choice between them shapes everything downstream.
- LCD video walls are grids of thin-bezel commercial LCD panels, typically 46–55 inches. Cheaper per square metre at small sizes, and excellent for control rooms and data-heavy content. But you will always see the seams, brightness is limited, and panels are rated for specific duty cycles.
- LED video walls are seamless modular panels at any size, with far higher brightness, no bezels, and better longevity for continuous operation.

What a Video Wall Costs in Oman (the Honest Version)
Manufacturers do not publish prices because no two walls are alike. In Omani Rial terms, the cost of an installed indoor LED wall is driven by four multipliers:

- Size — LED cost scales per square metre. A 3×2 m P2.5 wall and a 6×3 m wall are different budget classes.
- Processing — a proper controller of Novastar class, with redundancy for mission-critical walls.
- Structure and installation — wall-mount versus freestanding, plus cooling, cabling and calibration.

How to Choose a Video Wall Supplier in Oman: 7 Checks
Because you will buy through a supplier or integrator rather than the factory, vet the supplier as hard as the brand.
- Ask which manufacturer and exact panel series they quote. “Chinese LED, very good” is not a specification.
- Check the datasheet for brightness (indoor 600–1,200 nits; through-window and outdoor far higher), refresh rate (3,840 Hz or more if it will ever be filmed) and power draw.
- Thermal plan. Heat kills LED walls in the Gulf. Ask how the wall vents and what the panels are rated for.
- Controller and spares locally stocked — receiving cards, power supplies and spare modules in Oman, not on a boat.
- Structural sign-off. A six-metre wall is a structural object; insist on proper mounting engineering.
- Calibration after installation. Brightness and colour calibration is what separates a wall from a patchwork.
- Written warranty and response time. Who attends site, and how fast?
